Mikonos: "...it's closed."

Today we left from Athens at the butt crack of dawn (thanks Laura) and made it to the airport with 3 hours to spare, despite a minor mishap on the subway that left us alone in a dark tunnel with no one who spoke english. But the flight to Mikonos was totally worth it, we had enough time to take one sip of our complimentary drinks (thanks Agean airlines) before we had to prepare for landing.
We got to Mikonos- great hotel, great pool, great beach, really nice people....everything is closed.
"Where's the gym?"
"Oh...it's closed."
"How about the reception desk...?"
"Closed."
"Jacuzzi?"
"Yeeeah we used to have one of those, but I dunno they must have gotten rid of it."

I guess it's the off season still so no one is here, but it's secretly a blessing in disguise because there is NO ONE on the beach- which is great for anne's topless sunbathing.
En fin, after a day of sun we ventured to the center of town, which was completely charming and filled with tiny shops and pretty white stucco walls. Casey did some great shopping (per usual) and Anne did some great eating (per usual). Actually we both did some great eating. Another great day of R&R tomorrow, with pictures to follow. But for now, here's our first video blog from the hotel.
Leaving to rage out on the town- as is visible from our outfits, aka go to sleep.

XOXO,
Casey and Anne

P.S. Anne has finished TWO books now. All time record. She's averaging 10 pages/half hour.
